Khalida Naturals

Khalida Naturals is a 7-figure haircare brand made for women and girls who have kinky, coily hair and want to feel confident when wearing it naturally.

The founder, Khalida, is from Liberia. She started the brand in her mother's kitchen, experimenting with all-natural ingredients that worked for her coily, type 4C hair. 

The brand grew quickly thanks to hundreds of customer reviews posted to social media from women and girls thankful to finally have found hair care that works for hydrating, detangling, and strengthening their coily hair. 

The brand promotes the message that natural hair is beautiful and that wash day can be fun (not painful) for adults and children, and when children enjoy wash day and hair styles that are not painful they grow to love their natural hair and wear it with confidence, instead of trying to change it to something else. 

HOW IT WORKS

Prior to hiring KAC Marketing the brand relied mostly on social media to drive sales, but because algorithms are constantly changing, Khalida knew she needed to build up email marketing as a sales channel since it's something she owns. 

We started managing email marketing for Khalida Naturals in October 2022 and began with a simple schedule of 1-2 emails per week plus turning on all of the most important automated email flows with strategic messaging. 

We believe strongly in taking a data-driven approach to email marketing. This includes using a/b or multivariate testing and letting the results show us the best path forward delivering the highest revenue for our clients.

As we really honed in on the brand's email strategy, began segmenting the list, gave the flows time to optimize, we saw her email sales soar. 

While November and December tend to be strong months for e-commerce brands we continue to 200%+ conversion lift from sales emails every month.
